Visitors arriving in Saudi Arabia for Umrah or pilgrimage (Hajj) or for seasonal work must present a certificate of vaccination against meningitis with a quadrivalent vaccine (ACYW135) issued no more than 3 years and no less than 10 days before arrival. ACYW135 should be administered to adults and children over the age of 2 by the responsible authorities in the visitor’s country of origin.

The Meningitis ACWY vaccine protects you against meningitis and septicaemia that appears because of the ACWY strains of meningitis. Yellow Fever

The International Health Regulations 2005 require travelers from countries or regions at risk of yellow fever to possess a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate that shows they were vaccinated at least 10 days and no more than 10 years before entering the country. A person without such a certificate will be placed under strict surveillance for 6 days following vaccination or last exposure to infection, whichever occurs first.
